IR-PANELS
Why IR heating?
OPERATION
IR - natural form of heat transfer
IR stands for infrared. The infrared panel will heat to surface tempeature of 80 Degrees in approximately 60 seconds. The infrared rays radiate on to the rooms surfaces and then the the air tempeature is indirectly heated. The air tempeature eill then increase. When you entre the room the room is warm.
The most efficientway to heat your space is to operate the infrared panel is along side the IR Sun Regulator Thermostat which will controll the heat level output of the infrared panel.
Infrared light is part of the invisible light spectrum and has several subspecies. It refers to one of the natural forms of heat transfer , which accompanies all of us every day. In a certain form, which we call long-wave or C-length, it is emitted and received by you and your surroundings at every moment.
Every day, the Earth receives enormous amounts of heat from the Sun exclusively through various forms of IR waves . The sun also emits a number of other electromagnetic waves, some of which, unlike IR waves, are even harmful, so we cannot equate the operation of IR heating panels with solar heat , even though the principle of heating itself is related.
OPERATION
The warmth of the sun in your home with Infrared Ireland
Infrared heating works by emitting gentle radiant heat that warms people, walls, and objects directly, rather than just heating the air like traditional systems. This creates a natural, sun-like warmth that feels comfortable and consistent, while also reducing heat loss through drafts. Because the heat is absorbed and slowly released by the surfaces in the room, it maintains a stable temperature and uses energy more efficiently. This makes infrared heating a modern, cost-effective, and healthier alternative for keeping homes and businesses warm.

HOW IR-PANELS WORK
100% efficiency
The IR heating panels of the infrared heating system convert almost 100% of the electricity into heat. Most of the electrical energy (close to the theoretical maximum) is transferred into space via the most natural form of heat for humans and animals – long infrared (IR-C) wavelengths.
IR HEATING
How IR panels work
The rest of the heat is transferred to objects with which the IR panel is in contact. Objects absorb the energy of infrared waves and emit it back in the form of heat, which is transferred partly to the air, partly to the objects and partly via IR-C heat waves back to the surroundings.
Therefore, IR waves do not heat the air like conventional, convection heating systems, but primarily heat things in their immediate vicinity – floors, walls, objects, liquids and living beings, which in a natural and healthy way emit heat into the surroundings and evenly heat the space and the air in it.
IR HEATING
Large low temperature radiator
The IR heating panel turns your room into one large low-temperature radiator. This is a key feature of IR heating that leads to many other benefits. The heat produced in this way is favorable and pleasant for humans and animals. Throughout history, man has warmed himself in this way with a clay stove.
In fact, we can say that IR heating is a more natural and healthy way of heating compared to convection. Natural, because it imitates the natural heating cycle, and healthy, because there is almost no swirling of the air, while at the same time adequate air humidity is maintained.
